Leaving a team

Mambo is a volunteer community. We each give as much time as we can, when we can. However, it is also a collaborative effort and each one of us relies on our team mates and team leaders so that Mambo moves forward to meet its agreed goals.

Everyone in Mambo has their own lives and work that is separate to Mambo, and there are going to be times when someone needs to move on for various reasons. You should always feel comfortable about leaving or having a break from the project.

When you know that you need to leave a team, take a vacation, or just have a break from Mambo for awhile, you need to contact your Team Leader. Make sure your Team Leader knows the status of anything you have been working on and what he/she needs to assign to others to take over when you leave. This will minimise the disruption to Mambo’s progress when you leave.
