Selection of Team Leaders

Each team elects their Team Leader. The Team Leader is responsible for guiding the work that is undertaken by the team. Team Leaders are all members of the Mambo Steering Committee MSC). The MSC meets regularly to allow Team Leaders to discuss the progress being made in the development of Mambo, to work through issues that may have arisen, and to ensure that the project is on target for the next release. The MSC is led by the Project Leader who has ultimate responsibility to ensure the project meets its goals.

Unlike some open source projects, we do not have an "elite" within Mambo. While the Programming Team is the only team that can make code commits to the SVN, every member of the Mambo community is encouraged to contribute ideas, code snippets, feature suggestions, and fixes. Team Mambo works collaboratively on developing Mambo and has programmers in almost every team. The code is not the exclusive domain of the Programming Team – our code is the result of contributions from everyone.
